Meet Our Staff


Christa Dean
Office Manager

Christa obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in gerontology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.  She was employed by the New Hanover County Schools as a testing coordinator before entering the healthcare industry as the office manager for a surgeon.  Our office was fortunate to have Christa join our team after her prior employer stopped practicing medicine.  Christa is not only well versed in healthcare issues such as insurance and privacy, but she also has a good understanding of issues regarding testing in both children and the geriatric population.

Christian Terry
Neuropsychology Technician

Since graduating cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and honors from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in spring of 2015, Christian has been gaining experience in the field of psychology to obtain admission into a clinical psychology Ph.D. program. He has published an article in the journal, Educational Gerontology, regarding attachment styles in caregivers, and has presented some of his other research at the Association for Death Education and Counseling conference in Minneapolis, MN. His current research is focused on the benefits of mindfulness in elderly individuals.

Christian has also found a passion helping the homeless population in North Carolina and throughout the United States by trying to abolish the negative stigma associated with homelessness. He has interviewed homeless individuals, shelter employees, and other related experts to share in a book that he is writing and a documentary that he is filming entitled: Words That Hit Home.

Melissa Stephens
Head Neuropsychology Technician

Melissa obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology and in criminal justice at The University of North Carolina Wilmington. She has conducted research looking at the effects of alcohol on a person’s perception.  Melissa was employed as a legal assistant for two law firms prior to joining the staff at Coastal Neuropsychological Services. Her experience in the legal field compliments Dr. Jones’ forensic neuropsychology practice..

Cameron is the office greeter. She is a little smaller and furrier than your Wal-Mart greeter. She is good with people of all ages. Cameron is often used as an incentive for children to work hard so that they get to play with her during their breaks.
