Ways that our office has changed its operating policies due to COVID-19:

  • Paperwork is to be completed and returned to our office either electronically or by mail before appointments will be scheduled. The forms are located on our website but can be mailed to a person when necessary. This should help to cut back on time spent in the waiting room and to maintain social distancing.
  • We request that patients take their temperatures on the morning of their appointments and to call the office if their temperature is elevated or they have other COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Office staff will take their temperatures at the time they arrive and when they leave work each day.
  • The office door will remain locked. When a patient arrives, they can knock on the door or call the office. Someone will come to the door, take the patient’s temperature, and ask them a few questions before being cleared to enter the office. They will then proceed to wash their hands.
  • One person can accompany a patient into the office waiting room. Up to two people can accompany the patient to the appointment, but the third person must stay outside of the office until they are brought back to Dr. Jones’ office for the initial appointment. There is no reason for anyone to accompany the patient to the testing appointments (second and third appointments). Again, this should help with social distancing.
  • There will be sanitary stations located throughout the office (antibacterial soap, hand sanitizer, wipes, etc.) and open trash receptacles.
  • There will be an increased frequency of cleaning surfaces and equipment with disinfectants.
  • Everyone entering the office is required to wear a facial covering.
  • There will be only one patient tested in the office in the morning and one in the afternoon.
  • There will be times that patients are in a room by themselves and times when they are in a room with a technician with a divider between the patient and technician.
  • Depending upon the patient’s circumstances, some follow up appointments will be performed by telehealth and others in the office.
  • Air filters will be changed frequently to improve ventilation.

We strive to provide you with the best healthcare possible. Working together, we will be more apt to win the COVID-19 battle.
